The Transportation Initiative
"We are Entrepreneur who believes in teaching people How to fish as opposed to giving people fish for a day". We have mentored Entrepreneurs in the transportation service arena since 1989 when Donna, then a single mother of two, was searching for a way to support her family in Franklin Massachusetts. We suggested that she drive a taxi for a few months, learn the ropes and set up her own Livery Cab service in Franklin Massachusetts. She did and she successfully provided for her daughters and put both of them through College.
Then there was Mark, who after returning Home to Boston from Active Duty in the Military, could not find employment and we assisted Mark in starting and operating his own Livery service in Dorchester. Also, Steven started a Van service to take low income families to Walpole prisons to visit their love ones who were incarcerated. The MBTA does not offer services from Roxbury, Dorchester or Mattapan to Walpole. The list goes on and on. All these transportation services were started on a low (shoe string) budget.
We are really interested in talking to Veterans, At-risk youth, Rehabilitated ex-offenders, Taxi Drivers, the marginalized and low income population and people in need.
While we wait for the Federal, State and Local Government to solve the Western Massachusetts Public Transportation issues, we can train individuals in Fall River, New Bedford, Taunton and other Western Massachusetts communities to provide Transportation Services in these areas. This will establish Entrepreneurs who will one day provide services and Jobs in these Western Massachusetts communities.
Our Mission is to Create and Support Entrepreneurs and Contractors in Transportation Service Busines
